We discovered a fun site today where we could carve pumpkins online! The students were very enthusiastic about this and had a great time trying out their own creative designs. Try it out for yourself!
Our Kindergartners have been learning about the 3 Primary Colors! Today I introduced them to Piet Mondrian. We looked at Mondrian paintings like this one: CLICK on the picture for an Audio description of this painting. We also learned to make straight lines with our rulers. You can create your own Mondrian style painting HERE!
There are so many ways to create art...especially with new technology. This week in the art studio, some students are getting to try taking their artwork (drawing or painting) into an App called WordFoto and transforming it into something really cool! We really like this app a lot because it helps us think of descriptive words to tell about what we created. Here are a couple of examples: Check out more DIGITAL ARTWORK in our gallery!
On September 17th, we celebrated Constitution Day. Students that had art on that day had the opportunity to create a poster for the Constitution Day contest. We learned a little about the Constitution and we used symbols that remind us of our country and our freedom in our drawings. We are still finishing these up but take a minute to visit our gallery page and see some of the great drawings our students did!
