For our art lesson, we first talked about the fox's fur. We tried to think of how we could do that with paint. We decided to use the end of paintbrushes to scratch in the fur lines after we had painted our papers. That was a really messy art day! We had orange paint everywhere...sorry if it came home on anyone's clothes. The following art class, we learned how to draw a fox using lines and shapes. My first grade artists did an awesome job with this. They are so cute. We also discussed what they think a fox says. I asked them "if he could, what would he say to you?" We had some pretty interesting answers along with lyrics from the song, of course. Students chose what they wanted to have their fox say and copied it into the talk balloons. We ended our classes with the video. So much fun!
